How To Maximize Your Savings To Go On More Adventures

We love to travel. It is something that we do what we can to ensure a trip is always on the calendar. We get asked a lot as to how we are able to do this. Because to most, it seems unattainable. While there are circumstances that may cause this to be true for some, it is definitely achievable.

Of course, with that being said the question is how? So here we will talk about some tips, tricks, and ways we have found that let us travel as often as we do.

First off is flexibility. Especially when cruising. Rates change all the time. Checking various dates and being open can make a world of difference. Just a week difference can change the cost of a cruise drastically. So, if you’re able to be flexible on your dates, it really can save you hundreds of dollars. Example below:

Another thing that we do is search all cruises. We aren’t necessarily looking for a specific itinerary. We simply browse from line to line looking at price first and itinerary second. For us, we like to cruise, so where we go is a bit further down the list. If you are open when it comes to ports of call, you will find something that works for you. We have been to a lot and have found fun, beauty, and history in all of them.

Knowing when to go and when not to go make a huge difference. Peak times are going to cost you a lot more. Summer months, school breaks, and holidays are the highest.  Low cost, or shoulder season times, are going to be much cheaper. We find, and try to go January/February, and October/November, for the lowest costs. September is also low, but that is due to hurricane season. So we cruise, but avoid the caribbean.
Here is an example of an amazing cruise we just booked for September. 6 days for $650.00. It can be done and is a great itinerary. I mean less than $55.00 a day per person?! I spend more  than that on a bag of groceries. Which best news, on a cruise the food is included!

There are so many other tips and tricks to make traveling part of your life. We intend to keep sharing them! So please subscribe, and stay tuned for our next installment on this adventure.
